What started as a simple friendship blossomed into a beautiful and blessed relationship meant to last a lifetime.
“Dati Kuya mo lang ako, ngayon baby na.” (“I was once your big brother, now I’m your baby.”)
Kyle loves to say this whenever we reminisce about how we got together. And as cheesy as it sounds, it’s the truth. We met through his sister, Kat, who became my friend when she moved to Red Deer in 2019. At first, we only saw each other as friends—nothing more, nothing less. But as the years passed, something changed.
Kyle and I have what you’d call a COVID love story. When we first met at the A&W where he worked part-time in 2020, we had to wear masks and stay five feet apart. Little did we know that despite the social distancing, our hearts would only grow closer—no restrictions required.
Our relationship was tested in so many ways during those years. The world felt uncertain, and most of the time, it seemed like it was just us against the world. But through it all, one thing remained constant—God was with us. When things got tough, when doubt crept in, and when we didn’t know what the future held, we had each other’s backs. His love strengthened us, guided us, and kept us together.
Slowly but surely, we built our relationship together. The friendship that once felt so familiar turned into something deeper. And on May 11, 2021, we started dating. No distance was too far for us—Kyle would drive back and forth from Edmonton to Red Deer just to see me and spend time with my family. His love and dedication made every kilometer worth it.
On our two-year anniversary, May 11, 2023, we took our love to the next level and said yes to forever. And now, on May 11, 2025, we’re turning that promise into reality—exchanging vows, sealing our love, and stepping into a lifetime of happiness. Third time’s the charm, and this time, it’s forever.
Through the years, we’ve only grown stronger—not just because of our love for each other, but because of the foundation we’ve built with God at the center. No mask, no distance, and no challenge—no matter how big—could keep us apart. With Him on our side, we are unstoppable.

Gem’s Story
I grew up in the charming little town of Laur, nestled at the foot of Sierra Madre mountain range in Nueva Ecija—a place where my heart feels most at home. Surrounded by my loving family, I learned life’s little lessons through laughter, stories, and countless cherished moments. Whether it’s going on exciting trips or simply enjoying a lazy afternoon together, time with my loved ones is where my happiest memories are made.
In 2014, my family and I embarked on our own adventure, moving to Canada, where a new chapter of my story began. It was here that I discovered my love for reading. I’ve spent countless hours browsing bookshops and have built a cherished collection of books I’m proud of. My own little library.
Music has always had a special place in my heart. As a child, my Lola would ask me to sing Dancing Queen by ABBA on the karaoke, and that spark never faded. Today, I’m grateful to share this passion as part of our church’s music team, filling my heart with joy as I sing praises to the One who has blessed me beyond measure.
Like any dreamer at heart, I long to wander through new places, collecting moments and memories along the way. One day, I hope to roam the enchanting streets of Europe, with Kyle by my side, turning dreams into reality—one adventure at a time.
Kyle’s Story
I was born in Quezon City, Manila and spent my childhood bouncing between Antipolo and General Trias, Cavite. I’m incredibly grateful for my mom’s sacrifice of working abroad—it’s shaped the life I’m lucky to live today.
While she was away, I was raised by my amazing grandparents. My lolo, in particular, played a huge role in shaping who I am. I can still picture him preparing my favorite tinola, always adding those malunggay leaves he’d pick, even in the pouring rain. His love, care, and dedication have stayed with me, and though it hurts that he won’t be at my wedding, I know he’d be proud of the person I’ve become.
Growing up, I found comfort in music. I picked up the guitar in high school and have been hooked ever since. These days, I’m all about rocking out on the bass guitar, playing the piano, and always chasing the next musical adventure.
In 2012, I made the life-changing decision to dedicate my life to Jesus. That moment became a foundation for everything I do, shaping my values and giving me a clear vision for the future. It’s a bond I’m excited to share with Gem and our future family as we walk through life together.
When Gem and I aren’t working, we love kicking back with a movie or TV series. We’re also huge foodies—whether it’s looking for the best bubble tea or the most delicious Korean BBQ restaurants, discovering new food spots and spending quality time together are some of our favorite ways to make memories.
